This restaurant is at the corner of Ala Moana on Piikoi and Kona St next to Nijiya Market. I would have never found this restaurant except my friend said it's his go-to place that he usually never tells anyone about (!).

I ordered soondubu (soft tofu soup) and it was delicious. The broth wasn't too spicy, and there was a good amount of tofu, and meat. My friend got the soondubu and seafood jun combo which looked yummy and there was a good amount for the price.

Our lunch also came with a bowl of rice each and about 5 side dishes. The staff was very attentive and I would definitely come here again!

Parking is semi-hard to find since the restaurant is in the same area as Nijiya Market and other restaurants. However, people are constantly in and out of stalls so you don't have to wait TOO long.

Just a little hole in the wall Korean spot, but definitely something not to miss. On this visit we got Meat Jun, Soondubu, Bi Bim Bap, and Bi Bim Kook Soo. The food is always delicious here, and they have so many choices! Everything is pretty well priced, and you definitely get good quality food.

Service is quick, but the staff is always on the move, so it may seem like they are not friendly, but it's pretty much because they're usually always busy. Don't let that scare you away from coming here, they are still very service oriented and nice.

This is my boyfriend favorite spot. I've come here twice with him now and it never fails to hit the spot. I love that it's a small, cozy restaurant, but that can also mean there may be a wait during busier times like dinner.

It's convenient to Ala Moana mall and beach with free parking in the plaza. We always get the meat jun off the all day menu (lots of inexpensive options) and the kimchi and pork stew. Careful with the stew since it comes bubbling/piping hot. The best way we like to enjoy it is to scoop our rice right into the stew pot, and throw a few ice cubes in there so you can enjoy without burning your mouth.

Located right next to eggs n thing, Ala Moana Blvd. There is plenty of free parking in this plaza.

I ordered meat jun off of their all day specials menu. You can't beat meat Jun that's priced at $8.50. After looking at the menu, this place seems to be an inexpensive choice for good Korean food!

Food betta than their customer service. I came in on a empty Sunday evening and sat down immediately. The only time the waiter spoke was to take our order. Which I don't mind at all since I was there just craving for their food.

We enjoy the occasional Korean food and soondubu when the weather's a mite chilly or we're craving something soupy and spicy. We always order from the Daily Specials-- Soondubu + bulgogi and soondubu + seafood Jun. For about $16 each, it's still a decent price, and the portion is just right for one person. The original soondubu is really tasty and had bits of ground meat in it. Sadly, there's no egg, unlike at So Gong Dong but it's not a deal breaker. The husband thought it was spicy but my 10-year-old kept going at it coz he claims he's "a true Asian". The kid ordered beef noodle soup, which was huge, and really flavorful and the shredded beef was tender. Too bad there was more vegetables than beef. I like their kimchee A LOT, to the point I was gonna buy ala carte (but they were busy so I thought another time).

The last time we came, the lady waiting on tables is different from the one we usually see. We've never had any problems with anyone before, although we've witnessed some controversial scenes over tips and "bad attitude". I've seen my share of Korean dramas and I don't take the ladies' brusqueness personally. Just keep an open mind, be tolerant of other cultures, be pleasant, and be a nice human being.
